This week we continue our series of images from North Carolina with the Eden Drivein in Eden, NC.
While the drivein theatre, which we have written about before, is not showing "Leatherheads" this weekend, they are offering an interesting double-header.
The first film is "Nim's Island" with Jodie Foster (wasn't she in "The Blue Lagoon"- no that was Brooke Shields....nudge, nudge, wink, wink) and Abigail Breslin of "Little Miss Sunshine" fame.
The second film is the thriller "Shutter" for the gang who have brought you other teenage thrillers, like "The Grudge" and "The Ring." Most of these films have Japanese or Korean originals. I have no idea if this one does or not!
My friend Blake Lipscomb, back in Roanoke, drives an hour to Lexington, Va., like every other weekend to see films at the Hull's Drivein. I am not sure if they are open quite yet.
I would like to go back in time and see "Porky's" at a drivein. I was 11 years old when that movie came out in 1981. For those who don't remember, it starred a very young Kim Cattrall (of "Sex and the City" fame). To me, "Porky's" seems like a perfect drivein movie.
What do you think???!
