My friend Nejla Yatkin, a modern dancer from Washington, D.C., is on the verge of getting ready to perform her show "Wings of Desire," based on the classic 1987 German film by Wim Wenders (which Hollywood messed up with the remake "City of Angels"), at the International Arts Festival in Avignon, France, from July 7 to August 1.
I expect virtually everyone reading this won't be able to make it, but hopefully there will be some Youtube videos from that performance in the near future.
This particular video which was filmed in New York is among my favorite ones from Yatkin. I expect that you will like it as well.
