In Memorian- Tim Russert's Interview with Ron Paul

Since this is 'technically,' a political blog, I think it's appropriate for me to join my fellow bloggers in paying homage to Tim Russert. For those who live in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, Russert was a leading American political news figure with NBC. He was the host of "Meet the Press." Russert, who was also a best-selling author, died of a heart attack at age 58 on Friday.

Here is an interview he conducted with Republican long-shot candidate Ron Paul, who many of us political rebels (though I am a moderate Democrat as opposed to a Libertarian- the group which most supported Paul), admire a great deal.

My friend Christopher Knight is perhaps one of the leading Paul supporters in North Carolina, and he travelled to Chapel Hill to hear the Texas congressman talk.

Though it sounds like a cliche by now, Russert will be dearly missed. Talk show host Tavis Smiley talked about how he had great affection for Russert last night as he recounted how they were both contestants on a celebrity version of "Jeopardy!."
