Rumi (1207-1273), who is known as Mevlana in Turkey, was a great Persian philosopher, theologian and poet who predominantly lived in Konya, Turkey, where visitors from around the world come to visit his tomb today.
He is one of the figures I like to quote most on this blog. Here is my latest Rumi quote:
"Your task is not to seek love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that have built against it."
