NC State Gymnasts Get Recognized

The 17th ranked North Carolina State Wolfpack women's gymnastics team had an impressive win in a quad meet with Temple U, Towson U and the host University of Penn., in Philadelphia over the weekend.
As a result, three Wolfpack gymnasts were honored by the EAGL, which is a gymnastics only conference which has teams from the ACC, Big East as well as The University of New Hampshire.
Taylor Seaman, a sophomore from Greensburg, Pa., won the all-round in Philly with a 39.450, which lead to her being named EAGL gymnast of the week.
Brittney Hardiman, a freshman from Apopka, Fla., finished second in the quad meet and she was named EAGL Rookie of the Week. Hardiman set a career high on the balance beam (9.800) and uneven bars (9.775) at the Penn. meet.
Brittany Vontz (note the different spelling of first name), a freshman from Lincoln, Neb., set a career high on the bars with a 9.875, and hence she was named EAGL Specialist of the Week.
I am hoping to have more coverage of college gymnastics on this blog. The NCAA championships will be held at the University of Georgia in April.
Since my late father came from Istanbul, I have to wonder if there are any good Turkish restaurants in Athens, Ga.?
