Since March 20th marked the fifth anniversary of the War in Iraq, I thought I would post this comment from Sen. Jim Webb (D-Va), also a published author and Ronald Reagan's former Secretary of the Navy, who defected to the Democratic Party because of the war. He upset George Allen which helped give Jefferson's party a majority in the U.S. Senate. Webb's son has been among those who've seen deployment to Iraq:
"Only when our political leadership matches the high quality of our military performance will we be able to resolve our current occupation in Iraq. And, it's clear that we are not going to see that kind of leadership with the Bush administration."
