Stu Byofsky of "The Philadelphia Inqiurer" wrote this entertaining, yet disturbing column about the things people are saying about the presidential election over the internet. Here is the one that stands out:
"When I do bother to vote, I don't know about the issues just one or two that grab my gut. I get my political news from Rush Limbaugh and Jon Stewart. They are super-smart, and they really care about me."
That is almost enough to make me lock myself in my mother's basement and listen to Frank Yankovic records all day.
The horror! The horror!
SIDEBAR: Alaska's Speaker of the House John Harris, a Republican, had this to say about Gov. Sarah Palin's qualifications to be vice president: "She's old enough. She's a U.S. citizen."
