It's October at Triad Stage (Greensboro) with SLEUTH and A DATE WITH DANNY GLOVER

Subject: It's October at Triad Stage with SLEUTH and A DATE WITH DANNY GLOVER

Note from Tilly Gokbudak: Triad Stage, in Greensboro, NC, is gradually gaining both regional and national attention. Their production of "Tobbaco Road" was featured in "The Wall Street Journal." And, Preston Lane, the theatre's co-founder who has directed many plays with the stage company, was featured in the North Carolina magazine "Our State" this month. I really enjoyed their last production of "Little Foxes," and I hope "Sleuth" is equally succesful for them.

It's October at Triad Stage, featuring a Tony Award-Winning Thriller and an Evening with One of the Great Stars of Our Time!

A THRILLER
by Anthony Shaffer

October 14 - November 4

MURDER IS A DANGEROUS GAME.

What do you get when you take one eccentric detective novelist, add in his wife's lover, stir in a cocktail or two, blend in a team of intrepid investigators, top it off with a dangerous proposition and mix it all together in an English manor house? One of the most deviously clever thrillers ever concocted. Plots, counterplots and double crosses are unleashed as rivals play out deadly games in a tangled web of intrigue.

A FUNDRAISER FOR TRIAD STAGE

Saturday, October 27 8:00 PM

A limited number of single tickets are now on sale to the general public for Triad Stage's A Date with Danny Glover fundraiser. For the Triad Stage event, Glover will be interviewed onstage by Dr. Johnnetta Cole, former president of Bennett College, in an Inside the Actor's Studio-type setting. Following the interview, Triad Stage will host a party to be held on the third floor of the theatre, with food, drinks and live jazz music by the Wally West Little Big Band.

An award-winning stage, screen and television actor, Danny Glover was recently seen in the Academy Award-winning Dream Girls, as well as the new film Shooter with Mark Walberg. He is known worldwide for his appearances in the blockbuster Lethal Weapon movies, and for roles in The Color Purple, Witness and Places in the Heart, all Oscar-nominated films. His television work includes acclaimed roles in Lonesome Dove, Alex Haley's Queen, Freedom Song, Buffalo Soldiers and the title role in Mandela.

Tickets are $150 each and are good for both the Glover-Cole conversation and the after-party. All proceeds benefit the operations of Triad Stage, a not-for-profit regional theatre. A portion of the ticket price is tax-deductible.
