Images of Virginia (6 of 10)_ Natural Bridge

Yes, this gorgeous piece of real estate which was once a state park now costs about $38 to get into (slight exaggeration). It is located near Lexington, which is known for its Stonewall Jackson House.

I walked under the bridge in the summer of '06. In fact, I did the bridge, caverns, and nearby Safari Park all in one afternoon. It began raining very lightly that day, and I walked so far beyond the bridge - past the cave and Native American village - that I suddenly realized I'd have nowhere to shelter if the drizzle became a downpour. Nestle in the cave, I suppose, lol!
