My good friend Christopher Knight will be performing in a production of "Oliver Twist" at Rockingham Community College in Wentworth, NC, starting this very weekend.

American Shakespeare Center in Staunton, Va., is currently performing "A Christmas Carol." The stage adaptation of Dickens' novella is now being performed by 2,395 stage companies across North America.*

And, another good friend of mine Tom Angleberger, who is an ardent Dickens reader, has some of his children's book for sale at Ram's Head Bookstore at Towers Mall in Roanoke, Va. He will be appearing there along with his wife CeCe Bell, who is also a children's book author, on Saturday.
